Me and my mother love this reality show, its called Minta Tolong - Seeking Help, its in our local TV RCTI every monday to wednesday at 4pm. This program having wonderful purposed, like i read in their website is to test the sensitivity of conscience of people around us.
Through hidden cameras, we'll see how people react when someone comes for help, whether they are genuinely helping them or just turn a blind eye to the suffering of others. Seeking Help reality show is a reflection, whether in times of crisis and all this hard time, do we still have a concern for our neighbor?
i will tell you one of the episode, its about lil girl sale food in one area called Monas - National Monument in Jakarta, scenario was like this, she ask to anyone that she meet on the street near the National Monument to take her to the Monument because she wanted to see Jakarta from above. She asked from school teacher, sisters, brothers, lots family (husband and wife and kids) who had just come out from Monas, but no one wanted to accompany her. They see it with suspicion and there is no compassion at all.

After more than 4 hours, and more than 100 peoples she met, do you know who really want to company her and take her to Monas, buy her tickets, and walk together to elevator and see Jakarta from up there?
She was an old woman working as a cleaner at Monas and homeless, with her lil money, shes really sincere to take her to Monas. With fear showing in her face that her supervisors will see her not do her job in working hours and she said to lil girl "hurry alright, cause im affraid and im sure that tomorow my boss will fired me if he see me in this area and left my job"
Wow, Masya Allah, one who help this lil girl, is one who we never expected isnt it? Myself always think, maybe one who help her, is one with so much time enjoy day walking in Monas, or one who looks like very good sisters or brothers with wonderful dresses, or a family with also their family asking her to joint. But no, not them, but an old woman with a cleaner uniform and in her working hours.
Really this reality Show inspiring me and my mother. and also remind me with one of ayah in Quran Surah 2. Al-Baqara (The Cow) : 148
To each is a goal to which Allah turns him; then strive together (as in a race) Towards all that is good. Wheresoever ye are, Allah will bring you Together. For Allah Hath power over all things.
So, are we doing good thing today? by requested or volunteered to help?
