my Life time Comic – Glass of Mask Topeng Kaca

Being introduced with this comic by chance in 1995, yeah that when I was 14 years old and in my 1st year of senior high school 46 South Jakarta. Made in 1976 by Suzui Miuchi, a 59 years old author from Japan wheres until now Glass Mask still continues. Guys imagine that was 34 years a go, wow I even not born yet. Based on what I read, she stop writing Glass Mask and more focus with her religious life for years but now in year of 2010 shes back and continues her writing. 

I was also introduce this comic to my sisters UmmMaryam and Ninik, and yeah they are crazy about this comic too. In 2006 I decided to buy a DVD. In Japan theres dramas version for this comic, but that’s does not satisfy my curiosity to keep looking and want to read the end of the comic, not just watch the dramas. 

I read lots comments from fans in facebook abou this comic, one makes me laugh was comment like this :
“bagus d kl dah mo kelar....hehe....w dah nunggu ampe mo mati rasanya.... “ in English is like this “that’s good this comic about to end, im like dying waiting this comic” (this comment post Dec, 22, 2009)

How about the fans its like in 1976 and they were about around 15 at that time, so at this time they age its like 49 years old. Hahahahaha Ooops sorry I don’t mean to laugh and make fun, but that’s so funny to me, not sure sometimes I have weird sense of humor here :P yeah cause im only waiting for 15 years.

What makes me so in love with this comics, and what makes millions of peoples love this comics too same like me. Fyi this comics had been print out and sold around the world about 50 millions pieces with 44 volume till now. Well I tell you guys, why I love this comic :

1. Main male character of this comic name Masumi Hayami a very success business man, maybe cause his love to main female character Maya Kitajima an ordinary girl who really love doing acting on the stage. Shes not attractive at all and lots peoples always under estimate on her but she have ability changed as anything on stage, more give lessons to people that do not always see other people just by appearance. That makes me curious to know the ending, Masumi Hayami eager to get the right performances on the famous stage play titled The Red Angel which Maya Kitajima is one of the candidates to portray the character of The Red Angel, hes a secret fan who always send roses to the Maya Kitajima, loved her in silence due to the fault that caused Maya Kitajima mothers dies.

2. Maya Kitajima, in silence too in love with Masumi Hayami. She already know that hes the secret fan, one who never told who is he, one who always support and help her, and also pay her study. Dilemma for them because on one side Masumi Hayami thinks Maya Kitajima hate her, and Maya Kitajima thinks Masumi Hayami just loved him on the stage rather than as love her Maya Kitajima.

3. Because of the loyalty shown in this novel, about a sense of admiration on and on to someone and never lost, still in silence love despite whatever happens. aww this really just like a fantasy love :P

4. About strong of desire of the main character and her rival Ayumi Himekawa to achieve their dreams were to be chosen to play The Red Angel on stage.

Part of the story of my teenage years, which will not be lost, it's wonderful I can share with you guys. Also now its great i find on the Internet a community in Indonesia who also liked the comic.
